Dublin ace Bernard Brogan could be set to make his long-awaited return from injury this weekend against Roscommon, according to a report from the Irish Daily Star.

The 34-year-old suffered a cruciate ligament injury during a training drill back in February and has not played a minute for the Dubs since their opening round National League win over Kildare at Croke Park on January 27th.

Now, with eight weeks training under his belt, Brogan is said to be pushing hard for game time against the Rossies ahead of his county's All-Ireland semi-final against either Galway, Monaghan or Kerry on Saturday week.

Sunday's meeting with the beaten Connacht finalists at HQ is a dead rubber affair with the Dubs guaranteed top spot in Group 2 and their opponents relegated, so it looks an ideal opportunity for manager Jim Gavin to get game time into the veteran forward.
