Niall Daly is thrilled that Roscommon got their season back on course by reaching the last eight.

Having lost the Connacht final to Galway, the Rossies plotted a path through to the inaugural Super 8s at the second attempt when seeing off Armagh in a thriller at Portlaoise on Saturday.

"At the start of the year, with every team, the aim would have been to get to the Super 8s. We're there now thankfully. We don't have anything to fear but we'll take each game on its merits," Daly says in The Irish Examiner.

"Everybody has been training hard for the last few weeks. The first few days after the Connacht final weren't easy, so we're delighted to be back on the horse and delighted to be in the Super 8s."
