Roscommon coach Liam McHale feels that the last few weeks have given the side a renewed confidence as they bid to maintain their push for promotion.

The Rossies easily swept aside the challenge of Clare last weekend, which came on the back of two good performances before that as they keep pace with NFL 2 leaders Cavan.

Cavan and Cork are the opponents in their remaining two matches, both of which will be in Dr Hyde Park and McHale told the Clare Champion that they are looking forward to the games.

"We're delighted the way the last three weeks have gone. We've two big games at home now against Cavan and Cork," stated the former Mayo footballer.

"We were nervous about the Clare game. We have great respect for Clare and how good they have been going in the last two or three years. I'd say we will have a nice bit of confidence in our dressingroom going into the last two games. We'd love to get promoted and get a game in Croke Park again."
