Conor Devaney is the new Roscommon senior football captain.
The experienced Kilbride clubman will take over the role from Ciarain Murtagh after an impressive 2017 in which he scored 2-4 from wing back in Roscommon's triumphant Connacht SFC campaign and was nominated for an All Star award. Devaney won an All-Ireland MFC medal in 2006 and has since made 85 appearances for the county seniors.
Manager Kevin McStay has named outgoing captain Murtagh and David Murray as his vice-captains for the coming year.
