Junior Team

Our junior teams league campaign came to an end on Sunday last when we were defeated by St Faithleachs in the Div 5 semi final in Ballyleague. The team was as follows Anthony Carroll, Liam Caslin, Donal Carroll, Charlie Burke , Danny Collins, Willie O Flynn, Patrick doyle, Brian Connellan, Peter Sheridan, Ryan Mcloughlin, Karol Foley, Ben Donohue, Cathal Carney, Ray Caslin, Colman Earley Subs used Ray McMahon, Jim Gilchrest and Daniel Burke. Thanks to the players and management team for their efforts during the year. Thanks also to the management team of Mervyn Foley, Gerry Garvey and Brian Carroll. 

 

Ladies 

There was huge disappointment on Sunday last for our girls U-14 team who were defeated by 2 points by Clann na nGael in the Division 1B final. thanks to all the players, management and players for all their hard work and commitment throughout the year. 

 

Annual Hospice Auction

The 2017 Annual auction for Mayo/Roscommon Hospiuce takes place this Saturday night the 2nd of December in the Kilmore Inn getting underway at 10pm. All donations are welcome including gifts, vouchers, bales, work etc. Anyone who wishes to donate something is asked to contact Ann McMahon 0872744358, Brian Carroll 0872420896 or Jenny Connellan 0860779493. 

 

Duck race 

Our Duck race took place on Sunday last in Grange river. Thanks top everyone who purchased and sold ducks. Our winners were as follows €300 Seamus Sweeney, Croghan, €200 Sean Boland, €100 Voucher sponsored by the Landmark hotel - Daniel Carroll, €30 fuel voucher sponsored by Glancys Elphin - Karol McGauran and €20 fuel voucher sponsored by Glancys Elphin - Anthony & Ethel Carroll. Thanks to Tommie Kenoy for the use of his boat. Thanks also to dawn til dusk Strokestown for their sponsorship of the Ducks for the race.

 

Battery Collection

This is the last call for all used batteries that anyone wishes to donate to the club. Each battery will earn income for the club but Gerry Tiernan must be contacted on 0868393800 before this Friday if you have any batteries you want collected. 

 

Last Man Standing 

Well done to Katie Foley who won this years Last Man Standing competition at the weekend. 

 

Other News

This weekends 50/50 draw will take place in The Arch Bar, Jamestown on Sunday night at 10pm. Brian Carrolls team are on selling duty. Well done to John Donohue and John Gannon who took part in the Strokestown GAA Lip Sync battle at the weekend.
