Our soccer team lost 3/3. Our rugby team have currently lost 2/2. Are we looking at the completion of a whitewash this weekend? Did any un-pratiots have money on it? I considered the possibility of it before they all kicked off but heart over-ruled head.

It's more than possible Legend. But if the rugby lads play with the same passion and spirit they showed last week then we are more than capable of getting our first ever win over the All Blacks.

It wont be passion and spirit that will drive us to our first win over the all blacks it will be efficiency, sheer bloodimindedness and total belief by all management and players in their skills and abilitys that will drive ireland to their first ever win v the all blacks

Can you quit with the outdated stereotyping. Do you actually want the lads to lose?

All that pride/passion stuff etc has to stop if you want to be successful. Better to talk about skills/belief in your own ability than pride/honesty etc

D'arcy out is a huge blow, a huge player for Ireland. Cant see the logic in picking Earls. Like Trimble last week he will be told to play the touchline so he will not have a chance to attack and unfortunately he is weak defensively. Kidneys bizarre selections continue...

Is Darcy really a huge blow? He has been very hot and cold recently and you never know whether he will play as a top class international standard centre or a poor club level player,
Earls had to be picked, he's been very solid at centre both at international level and club level recently and has quietened a lot of his critics with his performances.
He isnt that weak defensively, is a bit naive in defence at times but has improved tenfold in defence at centre this season

We should have won last weekend, there's no doubt about that. Yes Owens' made some strange calls (that scrum in particular) but we should have seen it out. But these players are used to winning and will be going at it full tilt, the days of celebrating glorious failure are long gone for Irish Rugby. I do have some concerns about the team however, Cave's been sitting there patiently but Wallace has been thrown in after travelling thousands of miles. If Wallace is the better option why wasn't he in the original squad. Anyway here's hoping we can put right the wrongs of last weekend

I was thinking that myself Pomeroy. Or why not have Earls in at 12 and start Zebo? Hopefully Paddy Wallace will justify is inclusion with a storming display.

Had Darcy and a couple more of his Leinster colleagues been fit this thrashing would have lessened somewhat. Going on a sun holiday is good preparation for a test match so it's no wonder that Wallace was called up and had to endure a long trip before going straight into the team.
They are in a completely different league than us and when they have to they can get the players together to challenge for and win a world cup, yes England are the only true country from these parts in term of Rugby. However I can see the provinces here benefiting from it as, as mooted by several Uk rugby pundits, the provinces could be good training grounds for up and coming English players. It may benefit the International team as well as those tho don't make the first team may opt for Ireland?

And if some other munster players had been fit we'd have done better.
At their best they are on a different level to us. England are not the only true country "from these parts" in terms of rugby. the welsh and french most certainely are as well
What are you on about wrt english players coming over to play with the provinces. they cant as we can only have a max of 5 non irish players and we'll never use up and coming english players when we can get players from the southern hemisphere who wont be called up to international squads.

It that kind of pig headedness that has Irish Rugby in the mess that it's in now, anti English and anti Leinster rhetoric won't change that Ormo
If you want the provinces overrun with southern hemisphere players like munster had when they nipped in with the couple of easy Heineken cups then rugby will suffer.

stop trying to wind me up but munster and the other provinces have never had more than 5 non irish qualified players at the one time. how did munster "nip in with a couple of easy Heineken Cups". they were 2 damn hard cups to win
