LOTTO

The numbers drawn in the Lotto draw which took place on Monday 16 January were 03 07 08 20. There was no Jackpot winner of €11,400 and 1 Match 3 Winner [Mark Sheil C/O Dinny Sheil] [€200]. Next week's draw will take place in Doyle's, Killeigh on Monday 30 Jan 2017.

SUPPORT RAHEEN GAA CLUB - GAA National Club Draw.

Prizes include a New Car, Trip with the 2017 All Stars, Corporate Package to the 2017 All Ireland Football and Hurling Finals and Shopping Vouchers. Draw takes place on Wednesday, March 8th 2017 but All Tickets must be Returned to Raheen GAA Club no later than Friday 10 Feb 2017 to be included in the draw. Tickets cost €10 each with all funds raised on tickets sold through Raheen GAA Club being retained by the club. Tickets can be obtained from John Hackett, Eddie Kaye or any Committee Member. All Support would be appreciated.

MEMBERSHIP

Members are asked to renew their membership as soon as possible but all membership must be paid by the end of February 2017. Subscriptions are Playing Members €30, Students €20 & Non Playing Members €20 & OAP's: €15. Payments can be given to Membership Officers Paddy Bracken or Padraig Direen. New members are very welcome.

 

CLUB AGM

There was a very good turnout at the A G M of Na Fianna Minor GAA Football Club which took place last Friday 20th Jan in the Clubhouse Geashill. The following officers were announced: Chairman - Paurig Gallagher; Secretary: Damien Grehan; Treasurer: Pauric Pierce; PRO: Ray Garry; Coaches Co-Ordinator: Tom Keogh & Brian Kehoe. The following Committee were also selected: Niall Carthy, Tom Keogh, Ciaran Cummins, Edel Gorry, Noel Gorman, Liam Boland, Brendan Connolly, David Gorry, Sean Carthy, Jimmy Dolan, Stephen Byrne, Ailish Kelly, Brian Kehoe & Alan Finneran.The meeting also decided on the trainers and selectors for each of the Na Fianna Football teams for the forthcoming 12 months as follows:

Minor: Tom Keogh, P J Corcoran & Dermot Cuskelly.

U16: David Gorry, Ken Beatty, Niall Carthy

U14: Paurig Gallagher & Alan Finneran

U12: Damien Grehan, Niall Bracken & Damien Carthy.

U10: Damien Grehan, Nigel Dunne, Niall Bracken, Mark Byrne.

U8: Stephen Byrne, Pat Cooney, Nigel Dunne, Tom Gorry & Tony Quinn.

U8: Brendan Connolly, Brian Keogh, David Connolly.

U6: Sean McFadden, Karen Monaghan, Jimmy Dolan & Sean Gorman

U14 & U16 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS PRESENTATION OF MEDALS

The Na Fianna U14 & U16 Footballers who were successful in winning the 2016 U14 A & C and U16 A Championships and the U14 Feile League Title were all presented with their winning medals at a packed out function in their honour in The Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore last Sunday afternoon by Special Guest current All - Ireland and All Star winner Ciaran Kilkenny from Dublin. There was a fine turnout of players, families and friends and a great afternoon was had by one and all. Na Fianna would like to Thank Ciaran Kilkenny for kindly making himself available to us for the afternoon.

2016 U14 A CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL OR U16 A CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL DVD

A DVD of either the 2016 U14 A Football Championship Final or the U16 A Football Championship Final is now available to order at a cost of €15 each. To place an order please contact Pauric Pierce (087 6833535).

 

CALENDER

As a momento of the hugely successful year that's been Na Fianna GAA Football Club have produced a 2017 Calender with photographs of all the teams from U6 upwards including the all conquering U14 A & C Championships & League winning teams and the U16 A Championship winning team. Priced at just €10. Available from the management team of any of the underage teams, Paurig Gallagher, Damien Grehan, Pauric Pierce or Ray Garry.

 

REGISTRATION DAY

Na Fianna Football Members Registration Day will take place on Saturday the 18th of February from 12.30pm to 3.30pm in the Clubhouse in Geashill. All new and existing members are requested to come along on the day and register for the year.
