Offaly Senior Footballers 

Congratulations to Offaly Senior footballers on reaching the O'Byrne Cup Semi final where they will take on Westmeath next Saturday January 11th at 2pm in Bord Na Mona O'Connor Park Tulllamore. On The Offaly Team/Panel from Rhode  Anton Sullivan , Niall Darby, Brian Darby, Ruairi McNamee, Conor McNamee & Eoghan Rigney.  

 

Offaly Senior Hurlers 

Very best of luck to Offaly Senior Hurlers who take on Antrim in the Keheo Cup Final in Pairc Tailteann Navan at 2pm Sunday January 12th.

Sympathy 

Rhode GAA express our  Deepest Sympathy to the Hickey  Family on the Passing of Joe Hickey Ballinla Edenderry  . 

In his 97th year. Peacefully at Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore. Husband of the late Tess, grandfather of the late Shane and great grandfather of the late Tommy and Mia. Deeply regretted by his loving family; sons Noel and Gerry, daughters Mary, Peggy and Bernadette, brothers Seamus and Tom, sister Vera, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Joe’s Daughter Bernadette and Son Gerry are great supporters of the Club with Gerry having been a stalwart on and off the field of play serving on committees and managing various teams. A number of Joe’s grandchildren have /still are playing a key role in the club with Donal playing Adult football and Eoghan serving as Club Secretary. Joe also has great grandchildren playing under-age for the club.

 

Joe's Funeral mass took place on Thursday last in St.Peters church Rhode followed by burial to the adjoining cemetery. 

 

May Joe Rest In Peace.
