Central Council have big decisions to make

November 09, 2018

The November meeting of the Central Council have three big decisions to make.

The GAA body will meet on November 24th where the motion to introduce a second tier All-Ireland SFC will be discussed and a decision on whether or not to bring it to congress will be made.

For a while now, a proposed All-Ireland SFC second tier championship has been mooted with the proposal gathering support in recent times.

The Central Council will also have to make a decision on when and where the new football rules will be tried and tested.

Lastly, there will be a discussion about whether or not to proceed with a proposed U20 football league during the months of May and June, with the championship starting straight afterwards.

The Midland Tribune report that Offaly Central Council delegate Pat Deehan informed delegates of what’s happening at the county’s November meeting.
