West Junior Hurling Championship:

The junior hurlers will be looking to get their championship campaign back on track this Friday evening when they make the trip to Quaid Park, Colyroe to face Tournafulla in the round two encounter. Following a heavy opening round defeat at the hands of Askeaton victory on Friday is vital if we are to stand any chance of getting ourselves back into contention for a place in the knockout phase of the championship. Tournafulla have been extremely competitive over the past number of years, winning the west championship in 2016 so we will have to put in a big performance to come away with the victory. The game throws in at 7.30 your support is greatly appreciated by all.

Limerick U20's

Best wishes to Liam Kennedy and Eoin Burke who are part of the Limerick u20 football team who take on Kerry this Friday evening in the opening round of the Munster Championship. This is the first year of the newly restructured championship and Limerick face the toughest possible task against a Kerry side that has won the last four All Ireland Minor Championship. Limerick's chances will have been aided somewhat due to the fact that rising Kerry stars David Clifford and Sean O' Shea are ineligible due their recent involvement in the Munster senior football championship. Both Liam and Eoin are still only u18 and have two more years left at this left so this is a great achievement for both players to step up to this level at such a young age. Friday evening's game throws in at 7.30 in Newcastlewest.

ADRSC Astroturf

After many long months of fundraising and preparation work commenced during the past weekend on the new AstroTurf facility in Ardagh. It is great to see the wheels in motion and hopefully by the end of the summer the new facility will be available for all the local organisations within the area.
