The death took place on November 13, 2006 of PJ Callanan, Derrykinlough, Kiltimagh. A native of Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Paddy came to Kiltimagh in 1932 to work as a telegraph boy. Some years later was appointed postman for the area, working mainly from Cloonfallagh PO delivering mail to all the outlying areas of the town. His job ensured that he came into contact with lots of people and he was always obliged and helpful to those he met on his daily rounds.

Chris Moran, Drimneen Islandeady died peacefully at his residence on May 16th, 2006. Hew as aged 58. son of the late Paddy and Kit (nee O’Donnell) Moran, of Carrowholly. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia, who died in Dundalk 6 years ago. His brother Peter lives in Carrowholly with his lovely family.
