Pettit, TP
It was with shock and extreme sadness that we heard of the devastating news that TP had been tragically taken from this life early on Monday morning, April 2nd 2007, at such a young age. A young man in his prime he was one of the most likable fellas you could ever chance to meet, great company and always smiling. That smile of course could mean he was up to some devilment or plotting something. TP’s outgoing manner and approachable nature was often a source of uplift to anyone who came in contact with him.

Prunty, Fr Packie
Patrick Joseph Prunty was born on January 10th 1938 in Breanrisk, Co Longford. He was one of nine children born of Tomas Prunty and Anne (nee Mulligan), six daughters and three sons. He attended Clonteagh National School from 1943 to 1951 and went to St Mel’s College, Longford where he studied from September 1956 he entered St Patrick Missionary Society, Kiltegan and he was ordained a priest on Easter Sunday, April 14th, 1963.

There was widespread regret not alone in his native Carrigallen parish but over the surrounding ones as well at the news of the unexpected death of Mr James Reilly, late of Beaghmore, Carrigallen which has occurred at his residence, Arva. James and his late brothers Larry and Michael were playing members of the famous Tully football team.

The death had occurred on April 17th, 2007 of Fr Kevin Sullivan, who was until passing the Parish Priest in Annaduff Parish. Fr Sullivan was born in Kilmore, Street, Co Westmeath in 1935 but was Parish Priest in Annaduff since 1984.
