New Pitch and Track
With the mild weather the grass on the new Prunty pitch continues to grow. The walkway is nearing completion but will not be available for use until it is fully commissioned. This of course means that we now move on to the next phase which is the erection of perimeter fencing, balls stops, goal posts and dug outs. To help fund this we are currently looking for another year’s contribution from our Clontibret Our Future members and if your promoter hasn’t already called with you they will be doing so soon. Try to be as generous again this year as you have been in the past as much great work has been done and we now want to see it completed. Promoters are asked to make contact with all their clients before the week is out as a big push is needed to finish up well before Christmas
A very successful and business like Annual General Meeting of Clontibret O’Neill’s was held on Friday 30th last. The Secretary gave a comprehensive report on all club activities during the year while the treasurer reported on a busy year with major developments funded as well as the on-going day to day activities of the club. The Youth Officer Fergal Mone reported on a busy year at underage level while Development Officer Francie McGuigan succinctly summarised the development including the new Prunty Pitch and the soon to be ready walkway. Following this the Secretary shared an interesting collection of photographs tracing the new developments from the first sod was turned at Halloween 2015 up to the present day. Chairman Thomas Greenan ran proceedings with aplomb and thanked all who played their part in so many different ways during 2018.There was much praise for the fundraising Clontibret Our Future programme and the important role it played in enabling our new developments to take place with much emphasis placed on its continuance to ensure completion of the project over the coming year.
