Seniors: The Senior team played away to Donaghmoyne on Saturday evening last and played out a thrilling game which ended in a draw on a score line of 4-11 to 3-14. This game can be described as a game of 2 halves. In the first half Aughnamullen controlled the game from start to finish and played some excellent football and led at the break by 3-7 to 1-5. In the second half however the home side gathered momentum and gradually got back into the game and entering the final stages led by 1 however an opportunist Aughnamullen goal left the visitors 2 in front but credit to the Fontenoys they equalised soon after. However 1 final attack from the away side was stopped in dramatic fashion by the referee to the dismay of the away side and both teams had to settle for a point.  Next game is on next Sunday away to Cremartin at 12 noon best wishes is extended to the team and management.

Reserves: The Reserves played away to Monaghan Harps on Sunday afternoon last and were well beaten on a score line of 3-15 to 2-9. This was a game which the home side always controlled and ran into a comfortable lead at half time on a score line of 2-8 to 0-4. The trend continued the second half and although Aughnamullen scored a number of consolation goals near the end the Harps were always comfortable in front. Next game is on Friday 28th June away to Emyvale at 8pm

Under 15: The Under 15 team resume their league campaign next Wednesday night the 26th of June away to Drumhowan at 7.45pm.  Best wishes is extended to team and management.

Under 13: The Under 13 team played their second game in the league of the cup competition where they played host to Inniskeen. This was an excellent game of football between 2 well matched sides but it was Aughnamullen's ability to score goals at crucial times proved the difference in the end. In the first half Aughnamullen started well with an early point but back came the Grattans to go in front yet again the home side scored a number of fine scores and led at half time by 4-2 to 2-3.  In the second half more goals by the home side put them into a commanding position entering the final quarter and although Inniskeen scored a few goals near the end the final result was never in doubt and Aughnamullen won on a score line 8-7 to 6-5. Next game is on Saturday 29th June away to Killanny where a win will guarantee a final spot
