Temporary pitch

The long-awaited day has arrived, and the new temporary pitch is open for business. Well done to the Field Committee who have worked tirelessly and unseen to get the pitch ready as soon as was humanly possible. Catherine Kelly is the point of contact for all training sessions and games in the new pitch. Thank you to all the players, parents, supporters etc who have travelled far and wide for training and games, your patience is very much appreciated by all in the Club.

Magheracloone Pre-School

Magheracloone GFC would like to congratulate Joan Freeman on her retirement from her Pre-School after 31 years.

Joan would like to extend an invitation to all past students, their parents, grandparents and minders to visit the Playschool and join them for a coffee on her last day, this Friday, June 14th between 10am and 4pm.

Enjoy your retirement Joan

Seniors

Our Seniors played Corduff last Friday evening and the outcome was not what we would have hoped for as we suffered a two-point defeat to the visitors. However, its onwards and upwards and we return to the field of play on Friday evening in Tyholland at 8pm.

Reserves

Our Reserves play in the O’Duffy Cup final against Truagh on Sunday afternoon in Clontibret at 2pm. Please come out and support the lads and hopefully we will see the return of the O’Duffy cup to Magheracloone.

U11’s

Our U11’s played in the Spring League finals on Saturday in Cloghan. Maghera and Cloone both produced great passages of football throughout the day. Well done to both our teams with wins on both pitches against Scotstown. The boys showed great determination, skill and excellent work rate and should all be very proud of themselves. Keep up the good work everybody. Big thank you to everyone who travelled down to support the boys. Next up is the Liam Stirrat Development League and it starts later in the month. Training continues every Tuesday and Saturday.

U13’s

This week sees a very busy week for our U13 boys. First up is a league game against Emyvale this evening (Tuesday), match report next week. We also play Clontibret at home on Saturday at 12 noon. Training continues Thursday evening on the new pitch, time to be confirmed.
