U6 -  Training continues on Friday evening's at 5.45pm.

U7 -Training continues on Mondays at 6.30pm.

U9- The team travelled to Carrickmacross last Saturday for their Blitz. The boys played well and have shown great improvement throughout the year. Training this Saturday morning as per usual.

U11 - Pride of place this week goes to the two U11 teams this week who travelled to play Carrickmacross in the U11 Development League finals. Both teams played extremely well to come out on top in both games. In the first game there was tremendous work rate shown from all players especially Faolain McQuaid in the backline, supported by Korey McSkeane in midfield. Upfront Mathew McNamee and Ben Lowey took some lovely scores. In the second game the boys showed the same ethos as the other team with great tackling and team play on show. Stephen McSkeane was a rock in defence who was well supported by Odhran Sherlock, Craig Brady and Edward Rooney further out the field. That concludes the U11 Development League for the year, however training continues as normal, as the team will be entered into a number of tournaments over the coming weeks.

U13 - The Div 2 final was played last night Wednesday in Emyvale. The Div 6 final is fixed for Saturday the 1st September.

The late Sean Woods

Sympathy is extended to Bridie and family on the death of Sean, former player, club secretary, manager and club trustee. Sean started his football career as a defender playing full back on the 1958 championship winning side, beating Ballybay in the final and in later years made his name as a forward with club, county and province. In the 1968 final against Scotstown he scored the decisive goal following a pass from Joe Smyth and also won a Railway Cup medal with Ulster that year. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
