Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2 A  -  Drumhowan 0-15 Sean Mc Dermotts 0-12  Played in Páirc Sheáin Mhic Diarmada last Saturday the 14th of July the Bs secured a win in the last league game of the season. This win means  a semi final appearance.  The 1st half started slowly and Drumhowan kept in touch with free taking from Mark Mc Cabe  who kicked 4 points from placed balls and another from play. Ciaran Duffy got Drumhowan's other point of the half to leave the half time score Drumhowan 0-6 Sean Mc Dermotts 0-5.

 The 2nd  half  proved to be more open. Seans starting the half brightly with two points. Colm Lambe who had come on as a sub for the injured Liam Mc Guirk opened the scoring for Drumhowan.  In the best period of the game in the following 5 minutes Drumhowan kicked 5 unanswered points  to lead  12 points to 7 with twenty minutes left.  Seans then kicked two points before another Mark Mc Cabe score  left 4 in with 10 minutes left.   In the remaining minutes Seans got to within 2 before points were exchanged to leave three in it at the final whistle.

This victory now means a semi final away to Carrick on Wednesday 1st August  with a 7.30pm throw in. Ballybay await the winners in the final.

 

Eurotech Junior Football League Cup  -  The Cup Section of the league starts this Friday  night  20th July in Cremartin at  8pm. Lets get out and support the team  in this crucial game.

 

Mallon Foods U17 Summer Competition   -  this competition threw in last night  the 18th of July in Cloghan where Scotstown and Magheracloone provided the opposition  for St. Patrick's.

 

Gerry's Prepared Veg U13 Division 2 Cup  The U13s play their first game  since their championship victory  with their first game in the cup section of the league. Magheracloone provide the opposition  away this Thursday night 19th July at 7.30pm.  There will probably be another game  in the middle of next week.

 

Gr8 Entertainment U11 Liam Stirrat Development League  -  Emyvale are the visitors to Páirc Mhic Eoin this Saturday 21st at 12 noon 

 

Monaghan Co Co U9 Go Games  -  last Saturday 14th July  the U9s had a blitz in Cremartin  -  well done to all who turned out . 

 

Monaghan Co CO U7 Go Games  -  this Saturday 21st July the U7s are away  for a blitz in the Kilmore Grounds in Scotstown. Can all players please be there for 9.40 am 

 

Congratulations to Emma and Finnian Shannon on the   birth of Amelia Rose. Also congratulations to  Denise and Kevin Keenan on the birth  of Jo-Simone. 

 

Sympathy is extended to the Kelly Family Cabra on the death of  Martina Carroll , France.   There will be a memorial mass for the late Martina in Ballintra this Friday 20th of  July at 7.30pm  Everyone is invited back to the Centre afterwards for refreshments.
