In the first half Seans opening the scoring but back came the boys with good scores by Michael Bannigan and Colin Clerkin. In the next 10 minutes the home side took the initative to score 4 points without reply but 2 Edmond Mc Ardle pointed frees reduced the lead but another Seans point left it 0-7 to 0-4 at the break.  In the second half points were traded equally our score coming from Colin Clerkin however Seans scored the games opening goal and at this stage led by 6 points but credit to the boys they never gave up and scored a goal of their own through Pete Dooney and followed this up with points by Michael Bannigan free and Pete Dooney to leave 1 in it with 10 min gone in the half. Two more pointed frees from the boot of Edmond Mc Ardle left it level with 10 left.  Seans regained the initative with 6 min left with a point but with time almost up Aughnamullen had the pressure on and they were rewarded with a free into injury time which Michael Bannigan stroke over the bar to leave the final score level. In the second half the boys played a lot better and opened the second half with a Declan Mc Geough free and although Killanny scored a goal Aughnamullen were awarded a lifeline when Packie Marron scored a opportunist goal and 2 pointed frees from Patrick Sheridan and a special long range score from the left boot of Liam Mc Phillips to leave just 6 in it with a few minutes left however Killanny scored a goal against the run of play and followed it up with 2 further points to emerge victorious on a score line of 2-13 to 1-05.
