Clontibret Notes
Platinum Tanks Reserve League
We lost to Scotstown away on Saturday in a game that should have been closer with a number of goal opportunities squandered and are due to play Truagh on Wednesday April 18th at 7.30pm.
Senior League
It's back to senior league action this weekend when we have Latton as visitors to O'Neill Park at 2pm followed by Scotstown on Saturday week.
Minor League
No minor game this week so next up is at home to an Eire Og combination on 24th April.
U15
The team had their first outing of the year last Thursday with a defeat against Scotstown. Next up is Latton away this Friday at 6.30pm
U11
Both teams had very encouraging displays last Saturday in Emyvale and Truagh. Thanks to both clubs for swapping the matches due to our pitch.
U9
Blitz this Saturday. Details to be confirmed by JP.
U7
Blitz this Saturday. Details to be confirmed by Martin.
U6
Training will continue this week in the Community Centre on Friday evening the 20th from 6-7pm.
Pitches Closed
As pitches recover slowly and the prospect of better weather looms we can hopefully look forward to a gradual return to normal service soon. Again many thanks to all who cooperated fully during the closure for what was unprecedented conditions.
New Pitch and Track Development.
It is hoped that Prunty Pitches will begin work next month on laying our new pitch and that will be followed by the laying of the walking track. This work would not be proceeding were it not for the vital funds raised through our Clontibret our Future Development Fund and anyone who has yet to contribute for Year 3 (2017/18) should do so immediately. The difficulties experienced with pitches over the past few weeks reinforces the need for this development as the pressure on pitches from football, hurling, camogie and ladies football across all grades is taking its toll on our existing facilities
Hurling
The senior hurlers lost their opening SHL game with Inniskeen on Thursday last in Cloghan and this week have an away game in Carrick . On Thursday 26th April the DHL kicks off with a trip to Monaghan Harps.
