Just want to put something out there on how camogie is bein run in meath. I am from Trim and have sister playin junior camogie . Seniors playin Sat and have players missing, so 4 juniors will be taken from junior team but with only about 33 players in total the junior cannot field a championship team. Camogie board wont change anything to help and juniors might have to pull out altogether.... JoeJoej (Meath) - Posts: 73 - 15/05/2013 19:47:25 1384759 Link 0 |

If a club has decided to enter 2 championships with an average of 16.5 players per squad, there would always run a risk that they will be missing players due to injury, exams, holidays, work, emigration etc during the year. Same championship rules would be in place for hurling, football championship. Once the junior team has a min of 12 player at the weekend, it will be an official game. cill_dealga (Meath) - Posts: 35 - 16/05/2013 09:46:56 1384910 Link 0 |

I agree Country Board need to be more organised, there needs to be new refrees as in my opinion all the men are to old and cannot keep up with the game speed. kingballer (Meath) - Posts: 9 - 16/05/2013 10:37:16 1384950 Link 0 |

33 players is all you can muster out of Trim, Rathmoylon, Boardsmill, Dunderry and whatever other clubs Trim pulls players from? Stuck_for_ash (USA) - Posts: 123 - 16/05/2013 14:21:44 1385139 Link 0 |

Joejoe I know this might sound frustrating, but in most clubs Senior teams have to take players from the Junior squad through out the year. This is how young players develope into Senior hurlers. So to think that you will have the same 15-18 junior players at the end of the year that you had at the start you are only kidding yourselves. This happens in every club, at every code. The county board are not at fault here royalcatt (Meath) - Posts: 3 - 17/05/2013 08:22:10 1385490 Link 0 |
