Serious talent in the county at this level. Three of the teams in semi-finals Colmcilles, Tones and Summerhill have a plethora of county players already. With Simonstown, who won last years u15 title but unfortunate with injuries in this campaign, they will be the backbone of a potential all-ireland MFC in 2/3 years. Although Cilles topped the group any one of the remaining three could walk away with the honours. (sorry O'Mahonys just don't think you could live with the above) I think Summerhill might just have the edge. Thoughts ?

Believe me Analyst, it won't be because of talent that Meath won't compete at this level.

Cathal, lol, I'll make sure I'll keep an eye out for yourself in next weeks semi. Hope you live up to your own hype !!! Iarla is an outstanding player with a big future ahead of him. Playing really well this year. Wolfe Tones will give Summerhill socks next week though, but can see the Hill pulling through. Colmcilles have some excellent players alright and I would expect them reaching the final at NOM expense.

I agree re the talent, I have seen these sides playing in past few weeks, just jumping to all ireland success is a bit premature to say the least

Well, well. Both favourites got through but who would have thought that Cilles would struggle and Tones would flop. Gonna be an interesting final. Summerhill raging favourites on the back of that blistering result last night but Cilles have been here before as underdogs and come away with the spoils. Hard to call but I think I'll stick with Hill. Anyone an idea of venue and date ?

Cilles huffed and puffed but won by 3 in the end. By all accounts they didn't perform anywhere near what they are capable of. Complacency might have had a part to play. Was told NOM looked a different outfit than what they had fielded throughout the campaign. Supposed to have been the better team on the night. Might be the perfect result for Cilles though.....

Summerhil destroyed Tones. I don't think Tones scored in the first half !! 20+ point victory. Very surprised at this as Tones looked very strong during the league.

I Think ballivor have the edge in the div 5 semi final against na finna they have great talent on the full back line with dylan heavey and a great full forward of jake dunne but i think ballivor will progress to the final.

Dead right Analyst.

Colmcilles have done brilliantly this year. They have lost 3/4 of their regular fifteen to rugby/soccer. They have depended on last years excellent championship winning u14 team to fill in the gaps. And these lads have done magnificently stepping up. It's hard to believe that half of their starting 15 are still under 16 again next year.

Unfortunately, it's because of this age gap I can see Summerhill pipping them. They are more seasoned and don't seem to have lost any of the quality that Cilles have. Although they are missing Eoin Crowe through injury, you would still have to fancy S'hill especially after their demolition of Wolfe Tones last week. (Eventhough their website claims to have only won by 3 pts !!!)

May the best team win.

Think you're playing down the challenge facing the Cilles there Kepak10. From what i can figure out from old match programmes over previous encournters its more like 6-7 of the Cilles old starting 15 that are no longer playing, 9-10 if you go into the subs.

Seasider blues there is no doubt , the task that faces us tomorrow evening is huge. Kepak 10 is correct the fall off from the feile team is near 40%, its last years 14s that have taken the mantle. Whichever let the best team win and provide us with an hour of great enterainment, both sides have huge respect for each otherso let the football win here.

You may be right Seasider. I'm just going off the top of my head of the lads I knew from the u14 development squad/trials at the time.

That's quite a high dropout. Makes their reaching this final, unbeaten, an incredible achievement no matter what the final result is. Next years Cilles u16's will benefit from this experience.

Not totally sure of what the fall off number is as I don't live locally anymore but yes fair play to all for keeping the flag flying. I agree - good luck to both teams and going to your initial post Kepak, hopefully many of these lads will indeed play for their county in years to come and be as successful as you hope. That would be great for everyone
