Say it just came down to the powers that be probably didn't want navan cut up by the hurlers before the football. Or else the fixtures people are just plain thick.

Disappointing the lads couldn't of held on to the half time lead. Ended up at the football but sounded like a frantic end to the match with goals flying in.
Next up Kildare and repeat of the Christy Ring semi.

Very positive day for the hurlers. Ran a full strength Offaly team all the way.

Very solid defensively in the first 35. Holding an Offaly forward line with Shane Dooley to 4 points. Meath seemed to abandon the extra man around the middle for the 2nd half which left an exposed defence conceding 3-8 for the 2nd 35. However, Walsh Cup is for trying systems and players out, with Meath emptying the bench and still finishing strong.

League is definitely there for the taking this year with the panel available.

Exactly. Good few young lads there coming through and fighting for squad positions too. Then the likes of clynch and few others to give that edge when needed.. all going good

Great to win that Kildare led for most of the game, it took a huge final push to win it. 0-10 from Toher a great return.

Good win alright but taught we were better team and should of won by more. Disappointing to see a player that was subsituted in first half come back on with 10 minutes to go, is this not time to try players out and looked like there was enough of players on the bench.

totally agree, was at game, i cannot understand how a player who was taken off would be brought back on in a walsh cup game, especially when we have so many lads that are inexperiences and management need to look at. Peter Farrell was excellent when he came in. demoralising for panel members not getting a chance. that said, meath were struggling for scores at times up front and heffernan on his day is top class

Ye Peter Farrell looked a handful when ball in hand, good prospect and yes Heffernan is quality on his day but last two performances haven't been good, and then given another chance with 10 minutes left, poor management, obviously no confidents in rest of players. Carlow IT will be very tough on Wednesday and this is when ya need a strong team.

Agree on player going off and coming back on that's not fair on other players and yes bad management by far. They don't believe in other guys they have there. Very bad management.

Well that could of been one of the great Meath comebacks if ITC hadn't knicked that point in the end.
Shame we went 15 down thats a worry but at least the comeback shows theres a fighting spirit and pride in what they do that could stand to them when it counts later in the year.
