Replying To Wedgie:  "Fantastic game to watch, worthy winners. Killyon really put it up to them and were really unlucky not to win it in the end. A very evenly matched contest that could easily have gone either way.
Like I said, the two best teams were there."
Great game but serious mistake from the \killyon player (Gannon) not to go for a point when 1 down in injury time. Well done Kiltale and the 4 in a row is certainly on as they won today while without Regan (he came on at the end) and not playing well.

Killyon made a fight of the game but I think Kiltale were always going to come out on top, They had the better players all over the pitch and when needed it they got scores, a lot of wides to though. Once kiltale dropped sweeper in front of gannon and kelly this avenue for scores dried out and they had very little else out the field. Kiltale were poor by their standards but did enough which is a sign of great team. Kiltale had a very strong bench and when you compare it to Killyon's who had to ask a guy out of retirement for the final and he came on towards the end it makes you think they didn't have much confidence in their squad over all. Killyon over achieved this year but it shows what hard work and commitment can get you but it wasn't enough against a very storing Kiltale squad.

Killyon played very well and were up for the battle as always. Kiltale were poor though.
Keith Keogan confirmed himself as the best hurler in the county this year. James kelly, like most years, not far behind him.
I thought anthony forde, ross ryan and kelly were the only 3 kiltale players who played well, and yet they still won which says a lot.
3 in a row is only the beginning for this team. Its up to them how many they win. Bit daunting for the rest of us.

Don't know how you can say that, in the end there was only a single puc of the ball between them.
Also Adam Gannon doesn't owe his team anything, he's been fantastic for his club and county all year.

Toon. You're having a laugh. Killyon could have easily won that game. If the ball went in the net Killyon would be deserving champions. Kiltale man should have seen line for the belt on Kelly at the start of the second half. No one gave killyon a chance and I would say that the chronicle actually made little of them. But when you look at it Killyon are the only team that ran them close in the last few years. They are a good team but don't ignore the fact that kiltale success the knife in the back of the proud rathmolyon hurling club.

Whats the issue with Summerhill lads playing for Kiltale? My understanding was that Rathmolyon was in the same parish as Enfield. Summerhill is a separate parish on its own. They don't have a hurling team in the parish, so lads from Summerhill are entitled to play hurling with whoever they like. I am not well up on my hurling history so I may be wrong, but that was my understanding of the situation.

I may also be wrong on this, but I also understood that as Summerhill do not have a hurling team, lads can playing hurling for another club, provided that it is a hurling only club - they could not play for a dual club. So the could play for Kiltale as they are separate from Moynalvey, or Rathmolyon, but they couldn't play for Na Fianna or Trim.

Kiltales success is all down to the underage structure in the club. Every one of the Kiltale 15 on Sunday has trained with Kiltale from u8's up, it's not as if Kiltale are taking players from other clubs that are the finished article. Including Summerhill the pool of players kiltale could have available for an under 14 team would be less than Trim, Dunboyne, Kilmessan, O'Mahoneys for example. The difference is the coaching they are receiving, or lack of in some cases.

The game Sunday was the county final we've been waiting for. Can't remember one as exciting since Kilmessan Kildalkey drawn match in 08. A lot of very one sided games since then. Thought Kiltale only played at about 70% of what they are capable of, a lot of changes and the loss of Regan seemed to unsettle them a bit. Half time came too quick for Kilyon who had Kiltale rattled, seemed to lack the belief to finish the job in the 2nd half, where as kiltale knew what needed to be done and delivered. Big improvement needed from them if they've aspirations of a provincial title.

Big congrats to Ratoath on a good win at the weekend too. I think they're well equipped to give that Leinster Junior a good rattle.

Went to the Div 1 HL final last night in Dunganny. First up €10 is a disgrace. No disrespect to either clubs but €5 is enough. Good first half and Kildalkey kept with Kiltale the goal is what Kiltale wanted and they pushed on. They scored some great points and still only performed at a slow pace. Hope there performance on Saturday is up a rate and they keep hurling on the map in this county. As it stands hurling in 2016 has more actuates. It is up to the hurling clubs to keep it going work together lads its a great game.
