Meath's All-Ireland JFC final against Kerry has been fixed for Saturday, August 5th.

The Royals booked their place in thedecider courtesy of a 2-21 to 2-8 semi-final success over Kilkenny in Nowlan Park last Saturday.

Daire Rowe played a captain's part for Conor O'Donoghue's charges as he finished with 1-4 to his name while Ben Brennan and substitute Stephen Coogan bagged 0-6 and 1-3 respectively.

After a below-par first-half performance, the team in green and gold led by just 0-8 to 0-5 at the midway point but they hit seven points without reply after the resumption to confirm their superiority.

A 40th minute Michael Malone goal gave the Cats a glimmer of hope but twogoals in quick succession from Coogan and Rowe put the outcome beyond any doubt.

Meath will be bidding for their sixth All-Ireland success at this grade when they line up opposite three-in-a-row chasing Kerry in the final on Saturday week.
