Dublin legend, and Ashbourne resident, Charlie Redmond is in mourning following the sad passing of his wife Grainne on Saturday.

Cavan native Grainne (née Corrigan) passed away peacefully at St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown and she is survived by her husband and daughters, Sarah, Ciara and Ruth as well as her mother Isabel, brother Owen, sisters Rosemarie Elizabeth and Bernadette, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and her many dear friends.

Grainne was also a sister-in-law of Charlie's former team-mate, and current Dublin senior football selector, Michael Deegan.

Funeral arrangements:

Reposing at her home from 5 to 9 o clock this Monday evening. Removal on Tuesday morning to The Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Ashbourne arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o clock. Burial afterwards in Killegland Cemetery, Ashbourne. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.
