Huge push needed for final Royal House Draw

November 05, 2019

The third and final Royal House Draw will take place on on Saturday, December 28th

Chairman John Kavanagh appealed to all clubs to get behind the third Royal House Draw which takes place on Saturday, December 28th. He said he understood it was a difficult task selling tickets and clubs had their own fundraising to do but he urged them to give it one last push and said there was upwards on €125,000 in commission for club.

“The Pairc Tailteann development will benefit everyone,” Kavanagh continued. “We need more people to sell tickets and we have four dates, November 9th and 23rd and December 15th and 22nd, where we will be selling tickets in Navan Shopping Centre. We need volunteers from clubs to help us out on those dates, people to come in and spend maybe two hours selling tickets.”

Cheques for commission for the second house draw should be with clubs this week.

The gross takings from the two draws so far are just under €1.5m.

The annual Race Day takes place at Fairyhouse Racecourse on Sunday, December 1st. Conor Tormey from the organising committee said they hoped to have upwards on 100 tables. Tables at €1,000 are still available to clubs and companies.

A draw was made between participating clubs for tables and the winners were, Ratoath, Drumree, Bective, St Colmcille’s and Meath Hill.
