One of Meath’s best ever hurlers is still doing it for his club.

Former Meath great and Jubilee Cup winning captain Mickey Cole, not for the first time, was in inspirational form last night as Rathmolyon defeated O’Mahonys in the Meath Junior Hurling Championship.

The 45 year old, who inspired his club to Junior 2 success last year, scored 3-9 as The Village defeated the Navan side 4-15 to 1-9.

Proof once more that age is just a number.
