Schools: Healy inspires Kilbride to first ever title

Ronan Healy gains possession for Kilbride NS during the Division 3 hurling final against Boyerstown in Trim.

Kilbride finally got their hands on Meath Cumann na mBunscol silverware when accounting for Boyerstown in the Division 3 hurling final in the penultimate game of the day at Lomans Park Trim. To view photos click here

Andrew Treacy gave Boyerstown a dream start with an early gaol but from there till the end of the half it was all Kilbride. Joint captain Ronan Healy accounted for 2-2 of his teams first half tally as they went to the break with a 2-4 to 1-0 lead.

Healy added another 1-2 in the second half while Joey Hegarty also raised a green flag to earn an easy win for the Tommy Leavy trained outfit.

After the game joint captains Fionn McHale and Ronan Healy were presented with the Division 3 hurling cup from Caroline Gibbons.
