Carlow manager Turlough O’Brien (20 weeks), coach Steven Poacher and star midfielder Brendan Murphy (both 12 weeks) have had their suspensions upheld by the Central Appeals Committee. The Disputes Resolutions Authority sent the suspensions back to the CAC who decided to uphold their original decision.

They will miss the Leinster SFC quarter-final date with Meath on Saturday.

The trio were hit with lengthy bans after being reported by referee James Bermingham for using threatening language to an official following their controversial Allianz FL Division 3 defeat to Down at Netwatch Cullen Park in March.
