St Vincents/Curraha 6-10 Killary Emmetts 1-2

St Vincents Curraha made it three wins from three outings in the Division 3 minor league with a comprehensive win over Killary Emmetts at Syddan on Saturday.

Playing into a stiff breeze in the opening half the winners led from start to finish. Adam Tuite had St Vincents Curraha off to a flying start hitting 1 -2 in the first five minutes. The home side responded well and registered their first point. They followed up with a goal after a couple unforced errors by the visitors allowed them in for the goal. However, this was as good as it for the north meath contingent as St Vincents Curraha complete dominated in all areas for the remainder of the half. Adam Tuite fired home his second goal with Diarmuid Moriarty also powering his way through for a major leaving St Vincent Curraha comfortably ahead 3-5 to 1-2 at the break.

The one-sided nature of the game continued after the break with St Vincents Curraha adding another 3-6 to their first half tally. Conor McAleese, Gary and Adam Tuite providing the three second half goals.

Overall, this was a one game with St Vincents Curraha dominating all areas of the pitch. The victors had great performers in full back Matthew Webb who was rock solid. Gary Tuite and the hardworking Conor Early were also to the fore. Up front Robert McGovern was outstanding with full forward Adam Tuite in unstoppable form. The win leaves St Vincents Curraha top of the league table and secures a semi-final spot.
