Donaghmore Ashbourne 1-18 Drumree 2-15
Donaghmore/Ashbourne maintained their unbeaten Championship season after a dramatic draw with Drumree in Dunganny.
Don/Ash conceded the first two scores - including a free from the throw in which saw Aonghus Mulvihill pick up a yellow card.
They responded with the next seven scores.
Davey Carey pointed from a free, before Mulivihill levelled the game. Another Carey free was backed up by a brilliant team point finished by Oisín Mulhall. Conor Carey then found the net for the fifth time in three Championship games to open up a five point gap, added to by a pair of points from the Carey brothers.
Drumree responded with another pointed free and a goal which flew by Stephen Meagher after a lengthy run through.
Davey Carey immediately went down the other end to point and restored the five point gap with another free. Another pointed place ball from Carey before the half sent Ashbourne in four points clear. Colm O'Mealoid and two more Carey frees gave Don/Ash a seven point lead ten minutes into the second half.
Drumree hit the next three scores, with Conor O'Farrell stopping the rot by scoring a point.
Sean Hogan appeared to have raised another white flag, but his shot was adjudged to have gone wide by the umpire. However, the momentum would swing when a long ball in was misjudged by Meagher - the ball sneaking in over his head for the second Drumree goal.
Carey's frees would keep the lead for Don/Ash but the momentum was with Drummer as they sent over four points to level the match with five minutes to play.
Two more Carey frees gave The Moores a lead with a surprising seven minutes of added time being played. Drumree rattled off three points to lead with 36 on the clock, including a monstrous free from inside their own half.
From the resultant puckout, with seconds left on the watch, Meagher found O'Mealoid, who laid it off to Conor Carey. Advancing on goal, he elected to shoot over to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat.
