After yet another shambolic Croke Park, I wonder is Horan's time up as Mayo manager? The time is now for a new direction and with Ray Dempsey waiting in the wings I wonder should he be replaced? If not Ray who should replace him?

Stupid question.

You talk alot of bull without even offering an alternative.

Horan had done much more than you realise.

Bloody muppets. You can't make winners out of junior standard footballers, regardless of who's in charge. What part of "useless" do you people not understand? Waiting now for excuses, excuses, excuses, excuses, excuses.......Same old...

James horan is doing a good job, we got to a league final so far this year and finally beat Kerry in a match in croke park. If we learn from our mistakes today we can have a long Summer. Only one team can win Sam a year so and we just have to kept trying till it happens. We have no god forgiven right as a county to win Sam so i dont know why our fans expect so much. Some day all the hard work will pay off. As for ray dempsey, your having a laugh.

Yes i think Horan has done about as much as he can at this stage, To many poor performances this year, does not seem to be getting the most out of probably the best team we have had in 25 years. Maybe bring back John Maughan as he could tempt Ciaran McDonald back or even John O Mahony i think he would take this team to a new level and would probably win an All Ireland. IMO

Your first ever post Clutchmaster... call me an old cynic, but my guess is you don't get enough attention from your Mammy and this post is an attempt to solicit a reaction/ some much-needed attention.

Whoever created this topic is obviously very unwell or just likes to stir things. I've seen some crazy and extrordinary topics created by some posters on this site but this is certainly the worst kind of bull that has ever been put on here.

How is this a post getting such a slating? Mayo in the league won four lost four and drew one, thats a win percentage of only forty four percent. Anyone here on this forum can tell me that is a good enough win rate to be in the final. Mayo only played well in two games this year against kerry and dublin(which is no suprise because they always do, especially against 13 men) So are we gonna stand here and watch another All Ireland team be ruined by the dictatorship of James Horan......I hope not

MitchellBoi .... u are deluded if u think John Maughan can do a job , he had 2 bites at the cherry and it didnt happen for him
horan has only been incharge 2 league campains and a championship one , i think there is a whole new team coming on here , u cant build an all ireland winning time in that time if ur being relaistic.

stupid thread i would have to agree

yes this is my first post,i am a long time browser, first time poster. JayReale, you had a first post once upon a time and just becase you didnt have the courage to speak your mind as i have....well thats for another day. Remember this is merely my opinion,i dont think Horan is good enough any more and think the team needs a fresh approach. Maybe Ray of J.Maughan arent the answer but thats what i set this debate up for,a healthy bit of to'ing and fro'ing. However if JM could be the man to bring Ciaran McDonald out from the wilderness then I am all for it!

Isn't it strange that if you lose the division one final you're a failure. Yet, if you win division four you're heroes in your county. Think about it!!! I know which one I'd prefer. Lead on James, we're behind you all the way. We'll have better days but we're well up there with the best.

Clutchmaster has raised a valid point although a controversial one. His views cannot be shot down completely. I think Horans gameplan was totally wrong yesterday. Mayo were thrown around like ragdolls by a more physical and vicious Cork team lead by a proper leader in Canty who disposed of anyone entering his way. We are simply too frail on the ball and lack venom. We cannot bulk up to Corks physical stature come championship as there simply isnt time. The only way we can progress is by intelligence on the ball and an injection of leadership. Mc donald has both qualities in abundance and along with the mort on the inside line again the partnership could prove devastating.
