No team to win 2 in a row ever again unless major rule changes.

This Kerry team is finished and it will be a few years before they are back.

Ulster is at a low ebb at the moment.

Next year is our year...

In truth, it very much could be. If we win Connacht, which would be tough but we are capable of doing, and continue to the semi final, we face an ulster side, while Dublin and Kerry slog it out in the other semi. Dublin would be going for 2 in a row, Kerry's old guard are a year older, it is definitely an easier path than this year anyway.

We have to lose this mentality of 'it is now or never', like we are fortunate to be there or something. We belong there. Next year we will be there again, and the next, and the next. Even if we have to go through the qualifiers at some stage, we will still be there. In truth, we were probably a bit undercooked this year, our AOS at FF idea hadn't had enough put up against it, a few more games would have done us the world of good in this regard. We need to start backing our guys a bit more. We have players as good as any county in the country, if they can be there next year then why cant we?

2016 will be Mayo's year. Mayo must start planning now. A good plan would be to stay in division 1 of the National league, ie avoid relegation. And then win EVERY GAME in the Summer in the championship. It will be tough but it is doable. 2016 will be Mayo's year!!!!

Mayo try to bite off too much when going for national silverware by challenging for SAM without building up to it progressively.
Mayo need to focus on winning the national league first and gain some confidence by winning a national title.
This way confidence that 'ye can do it' on a consistant basis will be gained when it comes to stepping up to the bigger stage after a few years.
It would also be a fantastic celebration for the county to have the national league cup arriving into Castlebar on an ongoing basis to all the celebrations. The county would go crazy!
Start off small and build on it rather than going for just the big prize all the time but coming up short.
