The late Andy McNeely The death occurred on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Mayo General Hospital of Andrew (Andy) McNeely, St Mary's Park, Crossmolina. His remains were removed from Hineys Funeral Home on Thursday 19th October, to St Tiernan's Church. Burial took place in Crossmolina Cemetery on Friday after Requiem Mass. Andy is survived by his wife Sheila, daughters, Christina Cooper, Ashbourne, Co. Meath, Gertie Dennehey, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, son Andrew, Navan, Co. Meath brother Larry, Abbeytown, Crossmolina, sisters Kathleen Doogort and Claire McNeely , England, Eithne Synott, Northern Ireland, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces, relations and friends. May he rest in peace. Andy was ex QMS 4th Motor Squadron Curragh Camp and retired CWOW as Secretary in 1965 and President of 1984 of Crossmolina GAA Club. He gave al lifetime of service to the club as player and administrator and had a great record of attending 50 consecutive annual general meeting's. He had an interest in the club up to the end. Guards of honour were formed by members of pioneers, which he was a member all his life, Crossmolina GAA Club and colleagues from the Curragh Camp. Courtesy of The Western People 21 October 2006
