The Late Paddy McKeogh Paddy McKeogh Inchamore, Ballina died peacefully on Sunday March 6. Born in 1922, Paddy was a popular member of the farming community. In his early years he was an active member of the Ballina GAA club and members formed a Guard of Honour at his reception service in Ballina Parish Church. Paddy was a great supporter of club and county and attended all matches up to the time of his his final illness. His presence will be missed at the coming season's matches. Forty-four years ago, Paddy married Portlaoise born Bernadette and they both enjoyed a happy married life in Inchamore. He had a great interest in music, was blessed with a great voice and was a keen set dancer. He was well known to all in Ballina Choir and had a kindly word and a smile for all each Sunday as he took his place at 11.30am Mass in the Choir entrance door. Paddy enjoyed good health up to six months ago an his final illness was borne with resignation courage and good humour. Large crowds of sympathisers paid their last respects to Paddy at Lynch's funeral home, at his reception service, funeral Mass and burial, a testimony to the high regard for the deceased and his family throughout the district. Requiem Mass concelebrated by Fr Ted O'Rahelly, Fr Tom Lanigan Ryan and Fr Bobby Fletcher was followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
