Cora Staunton was at it again yesterday.
Three weeks after posting a ridiculous 5-15 for Carnacon in their county final victory over Moy Davitts, the Mayo ladies football legend had to be content with 2-11 (0-4 from frees) as her club added the Connacht title following an 8-20 to 1-9 drubbing of Leitrim's Kiltubrid in Charlestown.
It was Carnacon's first provincial success since 2013 and 15th in 19 seasons, with Staunton having figured in all of those wins. Fiona McHale was also in fine scoring form for the the Mayo champions with a personal tally of 4-1.
