The late Sean McHale

All were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Sean McHale, Garracloon, Cloghans whose death took place on Thursday, November 4.
Large crowds gathered to bid a fond farewell to a much loved member of the community at the removal of his remains to St Teresa's Church, Rathduff on Sunday for his 2pm Requiem Mass.
The large congregation which included clergy, family members, neighbours and friends together with teachers and former pupils of Garracloon school, GAA officials and players listened as the chief celebrant in his homily pay glowing tributes to Sean.

He said one word could sum up his life, faithful. He was faithful to Bridgie, his wife of 65 years, he was faithful to his family of ten, he was faithful to his church and faithful to his work. His priority in life always being caring for his late wife Bridgie and family where he showed great example to all of them.

He too was very proud, proud of all his families achievements, especially his sons achievements on the football field where they played at both county and club level with knock more.
In more recent years he had great interest in his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always very proud of them too.

Sean was always faithful to the mass and sacraments and had a special chair in the church where he sat, a chair which will now remain empty. Sean was deeply saddened when his beloved wife died in recent years and felt lost without her, but he was blessed to have his family there to support and care for him and he appreciated it so very much. Members of Knockmore GAA club formed a guard of honour at St Teresa's Church and his burial afterwards took place in Cloghans Cemetery.
Predeceased by his son Phil and wife Bridgie he is survived by his daughters Ann, Mary and Irene, sons Sean, Raymond, Eddie, Eugene, Noel and Aidan, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, cousins and many friends who are extended the deepest sympathy of all.
