Former Sligo footballer and Railway Cup winner Peter James Brennan has passed away.
The Tubbercurry GAA clubman was tried out originally as goalkeeper when he made his debut with the county senior team in 1967 before making the switch to full forward. He was recognised for his performances in the Sligo jersey when named on the Connacht Railway Cup teams in 1969, '71 and '72, winning the prestigious inter-provincial championship in the first year.
At club level, Peter James helped Tubbercurry to win the 1976 county SFC title and was a devoted member of Kilcoyne Memorial Park.
Sligo GAA sends it sympathies to the family and friends of Peter James Brennan who has died. Our former senior goalkeeper and full forward and Railway cup winner with @ConnachtGAA in 1969
