GAA fans everywhere will be saddened to learn of the passing of the well-known Mayo supporter, John Durcan.
The Westport native was one of the GAA's most recognisible fans thanks to his depiction of St Patrick. His son Bobby said in 2016: “He has been dressing up as Mayo St Patrick for as long as I can remember and I am 38 years old."
John missed his first All-Ireland final in over 60 years in 2016 after suffering a stroke.
May he rest in peace.
