Ballintubber focused on themselves, not Corofin

Manager Kevin Johnson says Ballintubber are only worried about themselves and not Corofin ahead of Sunday week's Connacht club SFC final.

Corofin's 27-point hammering of Clann na nGael yesterday suggested they won't give up their provincial and All-Ireland titles easily, and while Johnson acknowledges their brilliance, his only concern is ensuring Ballintubber play to the best of their ability.

"We know we have a lot to improve on. Corofin are All-Ireland champions, they're going for three Connacht titles in-a-row, they've won two All-Irelands in four years, they're a very experienced team," he told the Western People after the Mayo champions' provincial semi-final win over Aughawillan.

"But saying all that, this Ballintubber team is experienced, this is their second Connacht final since 2014 and there's a massive belief in this group. The most important thing is Ballintubber - we must focus on our own game.

"Corofin will be coming in confident, we'll be coming in as underdogs. It's the last club game of the year and that's what these players have trained hard for and we're going to really look forward to that challenge."
