Seventeen years after they were crowned All-Ireland club champions, Crossmolina were relegated from the Mayo senior ranks today.
Former county star Mickey Conroy came off the bench to fist over an injury-time point which handed Davitts a dramatic 0-17 to 1-13 victory in the relegation decider.
The once mighty Deel Rangers led by 1-8 to 0-6 at half-time thanks to a Stephen Duffy goal, but Davitts stormed back to level before Conroy won it at the death.
