Injured Mayo midfielder Tom Parsons received a standing ovation as he took his place in the Gaelic Grounds stand for the Westerners' All-Ireland football qualifier against Limerick this evening.

It was a lovely moment and one the popular Charlestown man no doubt appreciated after his season was ended by an horrific leg injury sustained against Galway in last month's Connacht SFC quarter-final.
