Keith Higgins returned to training with the Mayo senior footballers on Easter Monday reports the Mayo News.

The Ballyhaunis clubman didn't feature for Stephen Rochford's side during the national football league as he was focussed on hurling exclusively, helping Mayo win the Division 2B title.

But the four-time All Star is now back on board with the footballers ahead of their crunch Connacht SFC quarter-final clash with Galway on May 13^th.

Mayo are due to open their Christy Ring Cup campaign away to Wicklow a day earlier - on Saturday, May 12^th - so the inspirational dual star will probably have to sit that one out.
