Kevin Walsh concedes that high-flying Galway will have their work cut out against neighbours Mayo this weekend.

The Tribesmen have marked their return to Division One of the national football league in style by winning their first two games ahead of Sunday's mouth-watering all-Connacht clash with Stephen Rochford's men at Pearse Stadium:

"It's important that we stay competitive," Walsh told The Connacht Tribune. "We just have to move on to Mayo next week and they will present a big challenge.

"They've been in the top division for a number of years for a reason and, like them, we'll have our knocks too. We'll just have to be as competitive as we can on Sunday.

"We want to learn from every game, regardless of the result and, against Donegal, while we mightn't have taken the chances near the end, we were breaking at speed through the game."
