(Oldest Posts First)

Just wondering has anyone heard any rumors of who might be over the team and what sort of outfit we have.

with wayne k gone to the seniors i would imagine that rules him out. not sure who is in the running . they have not trained in ages and that is not good prep for next year which is not far away. you would imagine that they would be doing a s&c program or something like that.
wayne mckeever would have being ideal but he is now in clogher. hopefully someone who has a good pedigree and successful. of the top i would bring in ray lambe from the jocks. excellent underage manager

Will the lads who had the U17s last year not just automatically move up with them to Minor in the coming year?

They used to but that stopped a few years back i think. wayne kierans was not a development squad coach
thats not a great idea..the question needs to be asked if the the management move on with the team, Are they good enough for inter county management.
its ok being a development squad coach but the next step to inter county is massive. fair play to all the coaches who work with the development squads and give up there time. but at inter county level you need an experienced manager who had some success in management so the players can learn.

There will be no Louth Minor team next year. The U16 team are still currently involved in a competition and that squad will be the team that competes in the U17 Competition next year. I presume they will keep the management they have had for a number of years.

100% correct. I was stuck in the past and my comment should have read U16s management going up with the squad into U17s.

Spoke to a few people now who have told me that the current u16 management aren't fit to manage them. And on what you's are saying the minor has changed to u17 so I don't that they continue on as a development squad.
