St Mochtas Men took on St Mochtas Ladies last Friday night in a highly entertaining night's craic in Louth Village.

The buzzers were flashing and the answers were flying at a rapid pace from each team as Declan Larney fired the questions out, resulting in some great knowledge shown and also some fantastic 'wrong' answers being given in the heat of Battle that will live long in the memories of everyone present!

The Ladies got off to a great start winning both the opening rounds to take a 2-0 lead only for the Mens Team to come roaring back to level it at 2-2.

Both teams shared the next 2 rounds to leave the scores tied at 3-3 and set up perfectly for the final round between the 4 Top Scorers of each team from their previous round.

In a superb finale the Ladies pipped their male counterparts 17-14 to take the bragging right in the Club..........until the re-match next month, where the Mens Team will be out for revenge!:-)

A special mention to Phily Englishby on the losing Mens Team who was 'inspired' on the night with his buzzing and answers keeping his Team in it the game!
