Thanks: On behalf O’Connells GFC I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support throughout the year. As it is the last newsletter of the year we would like to thank all the people who helped or worked for the club in the past year from our lotto sellers, bar staff, bingo team, and social dancing team especially the ladies in the kitchen, cleaning girls, caretakers, security men. Also our players, manager, selectors, physios and all who helped with our underage teams from the coaches on Friday evening and mentors to the teams and those who provided transport. We would also like to thank the outgoing committee for their work throughout the year and our main sponsors Standard Brands, also anyone else who sponsored us in any way during the year.  If I have left anyone out I apologise and thank you anyway. To all who have suffered bereavement during the past year please accept our sincere condolences. Also to all who have celebrated milestone birthday or anniversary as I know many of you have, congratulations and we wish you many more. As it is the season of good will we ask you to keep an eye out for your neighbours, especially the elderly over the holidays.

Christmas is forever, not for just one day, for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away. Like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf. The good you do for others, is good you do yourself.

From all of us, to all of you, have a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
