Talk: The 2019 Healthy Club Conference will take place in Croke Park this Saturday October 5th. Delegates will participate in workshops covering: mental health in sport, Diversity and inclusion, positive aging and the importance of physical activity. The themes will be brought to life through practical case studies revealing initiatives rolled out by Healthy Clubs in the past 12 months. Renowned GAA coaching tutor Paudie Butler will discuss the development of the child including their wellbeing, lies at the heart of all good coaching and is fundamental to the principles of the Healthy Club Project. Tipperary’s 2019 All Ireland winning man-of-match Noël McGrath and Dublin’s 2018 All Ireland winning star Nicole Owens will contribute to a panel discussion. If any of our coaches or members wishes to attend this conference please contact the club as soon as possible.

Refs: If you had any thoughts of ever becoming a GAA referee now is the time, as there is a severe shortage of ref’s in Louth. There will be a course over the winter for prospective match officials as the county could be going short next year, so if you are interested why not give it a go.
