Intermediate Championship: The Senior team played in the Championship on Friday evening last when they had an excellent win over Tyholland on a score line of 1-22 to 2-11. This was a game where Aughnamullen were 5 points behind after 12 minutes but credit to them they gained the upper hand and at half time were only 3 points in arrears. In the opening period of the second half they produced some scintillating patches of football to go 8 in front and although Tyholland reduced the lead to 4 Aughnamullen kicked the final 4 points of the game to claim victory. Next game in the Championship is on Saturday 7th September against Sean Mc Dermotts in Castleblayney with a 5pm through in.
Intermediate League: This Saturday evening the senior team have a home game against Corduff at 6pm. This is another of the 5 point result system so a win is crucial. Best wishes is extended to team and management.
Lotto: The Lotto was held on Sunday night last the numbers drawn out were 7, 20, 23, 28 there was no winner.

Under 17: The Under 17 team played Doohamlet in Round 2 of the Championship on Tuesday evening last and came away with a win. They led the game throughout and at half time had a 9 point lead and they continued to lead in the second half and ran out winners. Their next game is on Tuesday next against Patrick Emmets with venue yet to be decided check social media for details.
Under 15: The Under 15 team had a comprehensive win over Aghabog on Thursday evening last. The boys led from start to finish with some fine scores from a number of players. They have now reached the Division 3 Quarter Finals against Doohamlet in Aughnamullen which is provisionally booked for Thursday 5th September at 6.45pm.
Under 13: The Under 13 team had a great win over Cremartin on Monday evening last winning comfortable in the end. The boys went into a commanding lead early on and they never relinquished that lead and ran out winners. They now play in the semi final against Inniskeen which is provisionally booked for Saturday 7th September
Under 11: The Under 11 team play away to Donaghmoyne this Saturday at 11am and 12 noon respectively. Best wishes is extended to team and management
Under 12 Girls: The Under 12 Girls play away to Aghabog this Saturday at 1pm best wishes to all concerned.
Congratulations: Congratulations is extended to Steven Mc Ginn Lurgangreen & Mairead Mc Namara Co Clare who got married recently. To Glen Mc Connell Beagh and Sinead Boyle who got married last weekend.
Best Wishes: Best wishes is extended to all our young boys and girls who returned to both Secondary & National School this past week and also best wishes is extended to Margaret Conlon who took up her position as Principal of St Louis Secondary School Monaghan as well.
Laragh Heritage Day: Well done to all involved in the organisation of the Laragh Heritage held last Sunday it was so refreshing to see this event supported well by the locals with the highlight being the Tug O War Competition won by Laragh defeating Sragh in an entertaining contest and also Aughnamullen Football Club and Carrickatee being represented also. A good day all round
