Geraldines club notes

August 06, 2019

We extend our best wishes to current Gers players Jim McEnaney on his recent marriage to Helen. All within the club and community wish you both many years of health and happiness together.

It has been a quiet week in terms of senior matches, with no activity in either the Mens or Ladies ranks, albeit plenty of training happening in preparation for the next round of matches. The Ladies contest a championship quarter final v the Blues on Sunday 11th, at home with an 11 am throw in. Our Senior Men revert to a league fixture on Friday 9th, away to Mattock Rangers with a 7.30 pm throw in. Our Juniors will commence their championship challenge with an away trip to the Clans on Tuesday evening with throw in at 8 pm. Your continued support is greatly appreciated so please come out when you can.

Hard luck to our Minors who were beaten by Na Piarsaigh/Sean O’Mahonys/Dowdallshill combination on Thursday evening in the Division 3 league final. The game really was nip and tuck the whole way through, with their opponents pulling away in the final few minutes of the game. Well done to all on getting there.

Plenty happening within our Juvenile section as training, games and blitz’s continue. We urge friends and families of the Gers Community to show their support for our teams where you can. Please check our social media platforms for up to date information on all Club activity as well as reports and photos from last week’s games and blitz’s.
